Cardinal Pell ‘is an innocent man’: Bolt

Andrea Gagliarducci has a report on the imprisonment of Cardinal George Pell, convicted of sexual assault in Australia. Admittedly, I am torn on this. I've seen physical abuse and criminal assault directly at the age of 13 by Basilian perverts and thugs (Rosica was only following a trend but who's in a mental hospital, Southdown, now?) I also have personal knowledge of what has happened to a friend at the hands of clerics. I am naturally inclined to believe the victim and I believe, given the extent of what we know about the infiltration of homo-perverts into the priesthood, nearly anything is possible, by anyone. Therefore, I've been at best "neutral" on the case of Cardinal Pell. I've had to assume he had an expert legal team who defended him using the same common-law system as we in Canada. 

One reason that I have hesitated to believe Pell innocent is Theodore McCarrick. We can see how the cover up happens, how people fail to report, how even now McCarrick who has never had a trial, defends himself to be innocent.

Yeah, everyone in prison is innocent. That's why they're there!

On the other hand, I put nothing past the potential of a corrupt Catholic-hating judiciary nor the potential that the faithless sodomitical and malfeasant Bergoglian scum in the Vatican may have had a hand in this, including pay-offs to the courts in Australia.

Yet, I have to admit that the conviction of Cardinal Pell is most strange based on the simple facts of what happened after the Mass. I hope and pray that my hesitation of being out there to defend Cardinal Pell has been wrong. I have not defended him because I have been bothered by this, "What if he really did do it." 

The broadcaster here at Sky News is not a Catholic, may not even be a believer, but he may very well be right.

I hope so. I sincerely hope so.

Perverted Basilian Order loses appeal!

The Ontario Court of Appeal has dismissed the two main components of a three-pronged appeal by the Basilian Fathers of Toronto concerning the awarding of $2.57 million in damages to a former St. Charles College student in the 1960s.

In its decision announced Friday, Justice Julie A. Thorburn, on behalf of the three-member court of appeal panel, did rule in favour of the Basilian Fathers on a third.

Critically, the ruling does not affect the $2.57 million awarded to former student Rod MacLeod.

William Hodgson Marshall sexually abused MacLeod more than 50 times while he was a student at St. Charles College from 1963-67, a school run by the Basilians.

Buffalo: Police and Church conspire to cover Sodomite Predator Abusers!

For years, most of their victims were too scared or embarrassed to make complaints.
But Buffalo Police had marching orders not to arrest Catholic priests, according to former vice squad Detective Martin Harrington and other retired officers. Instead they alerted the bishop’s office to any illegal activities.
“The department’s unwritten policy was that Catholic priests did not get arrested,” said Harrington, who investigated vice crimes for 17 years and retired in 1995. “I never had any experience with priests who molested children. I never heard of any priests molesting children. But we had priests we caught with pornography, or masturbating in the city parks, and our orders were to turn them over to the Buffalo Diocese. The diocese would deal with them … but they would not be arrested.”
The policy “only extended to Catholic priests,” Harrington recalled. “If we caught clergy from other religions, we arrested them.”

Francis calls on predator clergy to turn themselves in to "human justice" but why should we believe that this will do anything?

In the annual Christmas address and greetings to Cardinal and other Vatican officials, Pope Francis has called upon priests and clergy who have abused children to turn themselves over to civil authorities and to prepare for their own divine judgement. He continued by expressing his "heartfelt thanks" to journalists, and presumable bloggers, who "sought to unmask these predators and give voice to the victims." 

Francis chose to quote from St. Matthew, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." The picture below was taken by this writer recently at a historical mill just north of Toronto. It is a fitting reminder for these damnable perverts. 

Yet, it is Catholic bloggers such as this writer, Michael Voris, Michael Matt, Michael Hichborn, Louie Verrecchio and writers and researchers and lawyers such as Elizabeth Yore and Randy Engel who have been testifying and proclaiming from the ramparts for years, and all of us have been ignored or relegated as "divisive" or "hysterical" or "uncharitable" or having "messiah complexes." 

Now, even after he mocked the victims in Chile and then affirmed one in his homosexuality expects the Catholic faithful to believe that he is serious.

Surely, we can support him when he calls upon these perverts, these malefactors and wretched predators to turn themselves over to civil authorities. Surely, we can support him when he calls upon them to prepare for "divine judgement." But what he has said is not enough, it does not go near far enough and it does not deal with the source of the problem. 

Pope Francis specifically refers to those priests who abused minors, a horrendous crime against God and man, against the spiritual and physical. Yet, the abuse of minors is only on the radar because it is, of course, "illegal." But while every one of these predators must be punished, must be tried in courts and defrocked from the priesthood, Francis is leaving something out.

While some victims were girls and women, the overwhelming majority of victims were young boys and teenagers. This tells us that it is a problem of sodomites in the priesthood. But the abuse of children is only part of the problem. The ongoing sexually perverse corruption of homosexuality in the priesthood and episcopacy is the source of the problem. It is fair to say that a sodomitical act between two consenting priests or a priest and layman or seminarian is not under civil law, "illegal." But it is under God's law. It is under all the moral law. 

Where is the action on the  part of Pope Francis to remove from the clerical state any priest, bishop or cardinal who has engaged in sodomitical acts with anyone? Where is the commitment to rid the clergy of all men who or so inclined and the absolute refusal to ever ordain one?

Do not be fooled. This is deflection and spin.

It is nowhere near enough.

Rosica claims Basilians are "humbled"

The scandal of abuse at St. Michael's College continues. As reported previously, a student at the prominent and costly "Catholic" private school in Toronto was sodomised with a broomstick and a video of the crime was posted online. Six students have been charged by Toronto Police; eight in total have been expelled from the $20,000 per year tuition school. The President and Principal have resigned, they failed to report the crime to Toronto Police, it was known by the public through media and the police came calling and the Board remains intact. The Board of priests and two laity, one, a lawyer with Fogler Rubinoff, Nina Perfetto, represented Thomas Rosica on pro-bono basis in his attempt to sue this writer. The other, Toronto businessman Nick Di Donato bragged about hosting the largest same-sexed, so-called "wedding" in one of his operating facilities.

These are today's Catholic "leaders" of Toronto.

Yet, there is one more. Thomas J. Rosica, in an interview with Michael Swan of The Catholic Register, Rosica has literally lifted from this blog, the problem at St. Michael's College School. Rosica states that “The deeper question is what has our influence done or not done with these students?... If we have been unaware of this for a long time, how is that? How can that be?”

“Without that pursuit of truth, we would not know it. Some of the journalists — excellent journalists in Toronto and the editors and the hosts on television — have done a superb job,” A complete and utter failure of the Basilians and school leadership is admitted by Rosica, it took Toronto media and this blog and Toronto Catholic Witness to ensure that the Basilians "know it." At least he admits total and utter failure of duty!

Rosica continues that “Our Basilian motto — ‘Teach me goodness, discipline and knowledge’ — is not something we emblazon on walls or wear on t-shirts and on mugs because it’s cute. But if we take that seriously we have to look at this crisis and say, ‘Where was the goodness’ Where was the discipline? Where was the knowledge? If they were absent, then we have to make sure we inculcate those values into the students.”

Indeed Father Rosica, where was it? How is it possible that only now these abuses came to the knowledge of Tom? He knows well what this writer endured fifty years ago. Oh yes, he knew it, he knew the Basilians provided a settlement with no admission of guilt and then he turned around and abused this writer by a vexatious and frivolous attempt at a lawsuit. 

How is it possible that only now, Tom Rosica and the rest of this Congregation of priests have come to the realisation that their motto is a fraud? Rosica admits that the clericalism has created a "culture of prestige, entitlement" but then includes the "clericalism of the laity" which is non-sensical. Where is "clericalism of the laity" in all of this? The laity can be blamed for being badly behaving Catholics for forgetting Jesus or for giving undue deference to the school, but I see no clericalism of the laity that has caused this problem.

Rosica asks if "we modelled our system on a system of the world? And how have we failed to incorporate the vision of Jesus in this? The answer is a resounding yes! 

In the posts this blogger has written, I emphatically repeated that the problem at St. Michael's College School starts at the top, that the crisis of abuse is historic, endemic and part of a deep-seated Basilian culture. I have written that they have sold out for the riches of the world and long ago left behind their motto.

It seems that Tom still reads this blog. He seems to be finally learning.

Donald Wuerl has "touched us" and he has "entered our lives" according to Tom Rosica

Oh when will Tom realise that blocking one on Twitter does not mean one cannot read his Twitter.

Tom has a problem. He has a terrible lack of judgement. 

How many times has he praised a clericalist only to find it blow up in his face? 

Think here of his ebullient praise for the ebullient praise of Uncle Teddy McCarrick long since bleached away. Or how about his reference to Canada's child porn bishop as a "kind and gentle pastor." And of course, one cannot forget the sycophantic worship of the notorious homosexual priest and corrupted Vatican II peritus, Gregory Baum

The fawning interview with Donald Wuerl was a real act of poor judgement given the facts that were emerging at that time.

Bergoglio accepted Wuerl's two years ago resignation by appointing him now as Administrator.

An alleged priest, Manual LaRosa-Lopez, was arrested in Conroe, Texas on four counts of "indecency with a child." It turns out that Cardinal DiNardo who has been urging Pope Francis to act regarding episcopal pervert cover-uppers has been accused of being a cover-upper himself.

We now have Bergoglio calling a Synod in 2019 on the matter of protecting children and vulnerable adults from abuse.

Unless the Synod provides full disclosure on the worldwide cover-up of what is no doubt a global network of sodomite perverts and an assurance that homosexuals will be removed from ministry no matter the colour of their cassocks, the Synod will be a sham.

The deaf and mute became the prey of perverts in Italy and Argentina. What did Bergoglio know and when did he know it?

In 2009, 67 victims of perverts came forward with accusations of abuse by priests at the Provolo Institute in Verona, Italy. Various articles and history can be found at this link. The perversion extended to their branch school in Argentina.

On Sunday, the hypocritical pustulant boil on the seat of Peter urged us to "not be deaf or silent in the face of suffering."

The deaf can now speak, they are no longer silent.

But that filthy hypocrite Bergoglio who would mock these victims and state such a thing whilst he himself remains silent is nothing more than a minion of Satan. He is barely better than the priest in this video.

A friend of mine, an abuse victim himself, went yesterday to do a Holy Hour for the priest in the video because that priest is unrepentant and will go to Hell.

I told my friend that he is a better man than me.




But it was all just a joke, right?

Chris O'Leary - a victim abused and ignored, and abused again!


The man in the background above is Chris O'Leary of St. Louis. Chris is a survivor of sexual predation by a priest. The story he tells is tragic, shameful and shockingly cruel. 

I came across Chris on Twitter, I've had some communication with him. Chris is in a hard place right now. Something you may not have considered is how hard this publicity is on the victims as it provokes the anxiety, memories, rage and PTSD associated with the events. Yet, it is also helping because it brings to the fore the absolute evil and the need for justice.

Chris is in a hard way, surviving from the abuse, cancer and the impact all of this has had on him. The treatment that he has received from the Archdiocese of St. Louis for a number of years is disgraceful. Friends, I believe this includes the years under Raymond Cardinal Burke. Let us not hide behind anything that may have perpetuated this. I am publishing below, Chris' story and his pleading for assistance on GoFundMe.

1. I've spent the past year -- coincidentally, EXACTLY a year -- fighting to force the Archdiocese of St. Louis to recognize the (continuing) plight of survivors like me. And to help us. Actually. This week my efforts were rewarded and my prayers were answered with the announcement that the Attorney General of Missouri is opening an investigation into the actions of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

2. The Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Catholic Church promise treatment for survivors of abuse by priests, but what I received was only torment; psychological abuse on top of my original sexual abuse. A year ago I did receive a settlement of $9,000 (net) from the Archdiocese, but I lived off of that settlement over the past year as I fought to help the other survivors who have contacted me and the others who I know are out there. And that money is now gone.

3. I was forced to settle for that small settlement, instead of going to trial, due to the (sadly successful) efforts of the Archdiocese of St. Louis to create a problem with the Statute Of Limitations by first Gaslighting me and then giving me the Run-Around. And I'm not the only survivor the Archdiocese of St. Louis did that to.

4. I was fighting Cancer (Malignant Melanoma) at the same time (2013-2016) I was fighting the Archdiocese of St. Louis -- which they knew due to the lawsuit I filed and the discovery process -- leaving me with $6,000 of unpaid medical debt to SLU hospital and my surgeon.

As a result, I'm broke.

Bankrupt.

When I last checked, I had $.40 to my name.

Yes, 40 cents.

Fighting the Archdiocese of St. Louis, forcing them to open their files to the Attorney General of Missouri, and financing that fight with my settlement, was worth it.

Completely.

But it's left me mentally and physically exhausted.

And literally hungry.

The Shocking Truth (WARNING; HARSH AND EXPLICIT LANGUAGE)

Faithful Catholics are reeling from the news of the latest scandals resulting from the sexual and physical abuse of thousands around the world by Catholic priests. For those of us who have been writing about these issues, none of this is a surprise but it is no less distressing.

At the same time that these horror stories continue to break with more to come, clerics such as James Martin with the continued blessing of the Jesuits preaches heresy and a path to perdition for people suffering from same-sex attraction. We see some bishops issuing statements that the main cause has been homosexuality in the priesthood and episcopacy but it seems that they can be counted on one hand. Most have taken a more passive approach as has the Bishop of Rome with his woefully inadequate letter. 

Let us get to the facts.

Evil men with debased sexual desires, men attracted to other men, mostly younger, mostly teenaged, have for nearly a century infiltrated Catholic seminaries and the priesthood in order to gain access to their victims and to destroy the faith.  

When we read of the actual actions of these priests, it is to make one vomit. These are not simply men who have same-sex desires and fall, these are manipulative monsters. These are clearly, Satanists, the actions are demonic.

  • Forcing a 13-year-old boy to strip and pose naked as Our Lord on the cross.
  • Inserting the Most Blessed Sacrament into a girls vagina.
  • Putting the penis into the mouth of a boy and then washing his mouth with Holy Water. 

This is more than just homosexual behaviour. This is more than a simple fall from grace. This is evil. It is ritualistic. It is demonic. It is in the realm of the Black Mass.

Look, we were warned. We were told by Bella Dodd what was coming. Malachi Martin wrote all about it under the guise of fiction. People laughed, they scoffed. 

Nobody is laughing now.

My fellow Catholic, you must remain faithful. Do not walk out on the ledge and away from the Church. The Church of Christ is here, it is alive but it is overshadowed and hidden by this false church, this corrupt and filthy church.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio is not your friend. While he is not responsible for the current situation in America he has his own shadows in Argentina. Someone will out him yet, While he did not appoint McCarrick, he surely took his lobbying effort. He has continued to appoint bishops and cardinals of McCarrick's ilk. Tobin. Farrell. Cupich. McElroy whose bloom is off thanks to the late Richard Sipe, and yet, even Sipe was distorted. While he did much good to expose the rot, he was a modernist. He, like Marie Collins, sees no problem with homosexuality, even in the priesthood, he simply believed no homosexual should be admitted to seminary because they would be preyed upon.

When Bergoglio came out that night on the loggia, your writer was shaken. I had the urge to vomit, it lasted for hours. The next day, when he offered Mass from a table set up in the Sistine Chapel, I gasped and when he refused to genuflect at the consecration, I knew what we were dealing with. 

Every homosexual priest must be outed. Every bishop must remove them. Every bishop who is a homosexual must be outed, he must be exposed and removed. He cannot be trusted. No homosexual priest or bishop or cardinal or pope can ever, ever be trusted. 

Was it a coincidence that the grand jury report in Pennsylvania was released on the Vigil of the Assumption? Some think not and that this was a sign from heaven that Our Mother is taking action. 

In the homily below by Father Altier he refers to a teenagers room and that the mother has been bugging the child to clean it up. He refers to how Our Blessed Lord cleaned up the Temple but did it like a man and that when this cleansing comes, it will be done as if by a mother. Every nook and cranny, every corner, every cobweb will be removed. 

It won't be easy, but it will be glorious.

Marie Collins: Not to be trusted as a reliable "expert" on the Church's predator and abuse problem.

The problem is, Marie Collins refuses to acknowledge that while she herself was a victim, most victims were teenaged boys and young men, the prey of homosexuals. 

The narrative is being directed in such a way that they wish to deflect from that reality.

Do not let them. 

Whilst there are many factors that have gone into the creation of this crisis, it is primarily an infiltration of sodomites into the Church as a "mafia" and the intimidation of those who would have opposed them.

If you know something, say something.

Every sodomite priest must be removed and every bishop.

Do not let the bastards drive you out, or silence you.


Marie Collins of the Marie Collins Foundation is an abuse survivor and was appointed by Pope Bergoglio to a Vatican commission on abuse from which she has since resigned.

People like Marie Collins are not part of the solution. They are part of the problem.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ of the Diocese of Madison,

The past weeks have brought a great deal of scandal, justified anger, and a call for answers and action by many faithful Catholics here in the U.S. and overseas, directed at the Church hierarchy regarding sexual sins by bishops, priests, and even cardinals. Still more anger is rightly directed at those who have been complicit in keeping some of these serious sins from coming to light.

For my part – and I know I am not alone – I am tired of this. I am tired of people being hurt, gravely hurt! I am tired of the obfuscation of truth. I am tired of sin. And, as one who has tried – despite my many imperfections – to lay down my life for Christ and His Church, I am tired of the regular violation of sacred duties by those entrusted with immense responsibility from the Lord for the care of His people.

The stories being brought into light and displayed in gruesome detail with regard to some priests, religious, and now even those in places of highest leadership, are sickening. Hearing even one of these stories is, quite literally, enough to make someone sick. But my own sickness at the stories is quickly put into perspective when I recall the fact that many individuals have lived through them for years. For them, these are not stories, they are indeed realities. To them I turn and say, again, I am sorry for what you have suffered and what you continue to suffer in your mind and in your heart.

If you have not already done so, I beg you to reach out, as hard as that may be, and seek help to begin to heal. Also, if you’ve been hurt by a priest of our diocese, I encourage you to come forward, to make a report to law enforcement and to our Victim’s Assistance Coordinator, so that we might begin, with you as an individual, to try and set things right to the greatest extent possible.

There is nothing about these stories that is okay. These actions, committed by more than a few, can only be classified as evil, evil that cries out for justice and sin that must be cast out from our Church.

Faced with stories of the depravity of sinners within the Church, I have been tempted to despair. And why? The reality of sin – even sin in the Church – is nothing new. We are a Church made of sinners, but we are sinners called to sanctity. So what is new? What is new is the seeming acceptance of sin by some in the Church, and the apparent efforts to cover over sin by them and others. Unless and until we take seriously our call to sanctity, we, as an institution and as individuals, will continue to suffer the “wages of sin.”

For too long we have diminished the reality of sin – we have refused to call a sin a sin – and we have excused sin in the name of a mistaken notion of mercy. In our efforts to be open to the world we have become all too willing to abandon the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In order to avoid causing offense we offer to ourselves and to others niceties and human consolation.

Why do we do this? Is it out of an earnest desire to display a misguided sense of being “pastoral?” Have we covered over the truth out of fear? Are we afraid of being disliked by people in this world? Or are we afraid of being called hypocrites because we are not striving tirelessly for holiness in our own lives?

Perhaps these are the reasons, but perhaps it is more or less complex than this. In the end, the excuses do not matter. We must be done with sin. It must be rooted out and again considered unacceptable. Love sinners? Yes. Accept true repentance? Yes. But do not say sin is okay. And do not pretend that grave violations of office and of trust come without grave, lasting consequences.

For the Church, the crisis we face is not limited to the McCarrick affair, or the Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report, or anything else that may come. The deeper crisis that must be addressed is the license for sin to have a home in individuals at every level of the Church. There is a certain comfort level with sin that has come to pervade our teaching, our preaching, our decision making, and our very way of living.

If you’ll permit me, what the Church needs now is more hatred! As I have said previously, St. Thomas Aquinas said that hatred of wickedness actually belongs to the virtue of charity. As the Book of Proverbs says “My mouth shall meditate truth, and my lips shall hate wickedness (Prov. 8:7).” It is an act of love to hate sin and to call others to turn away from sin.

There must be no room left, no refuge for sin – either within our own lives, or within the lives of our communities. To be a refuge for sinners (which we should be), the Church must be a place where sinners can turn to be reconciled. In this I speak of all sin. But to be clear, in the specific situations at hand, we are talking about deviant sexual – almost exclusively homosexual – acts by clerics. We’re also talking about homosexual propositions and abuses against seminarians and young priests by powerful priests, bishops, and cardinals. We are talking about acts and actions which are not only in violation of the sacred promises made by some, in short, sacrilege, but also are in violation of the natural moral law for all. To call it anything else would be deceitful and would only ignore the problem further.

There has been a great deal of effort to keep separate acts which fall under the category of now- culturally-acceptable acts of homosexuality from the publicly-deplorable acts of pedophilia. That is to say, until recently the problems of the Church have been painted purely as problems of pedophilia – this despite clear evidence to the contrary. It is time to be honest that the problems are both and they are more. To fall into the trap of parsing problems according to what society might find acceptable or unacceptable is ignoring the fact that the Church has never held ANY of it to be acceptable – neither the abuse of children, nor any use of one’s sexuality outside of the marital relationship, nor the sin of sodomy, nor the entering of clerics into intimate sexual relationships at all, nor the abuse and coercion by those with authority.

In this last regard, special mention should be made of the most notorious and highest in ranking case, that being the allegations of former-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick’s (oft-rumored, now very public) sexual sins, predation, and abuse of power. The well-documented details of this case are disgraceful and seriously scandalous, as is any covering up of such appalling actions by other Church leaders who knew about it based on solid evidence.

While recent credible accusations of child sexual abuse by Archbishop McCarrick have brought a whole slew of issues to light, long-ignored was the issue of abuse of his power for the sake of homosexual gratification.

It is time to admit that there is a homosexual subculture within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church that is wreaking great devastation in the vineyard of the Lord. The Church’s teaching is clear that the homosexual inclination is not in itself sinful, but it is intrinsically disordered in a way that renders any man stably afflicted by it unfit to be a priest. And the decision to act upon this disordered inclination is a sin so grave that it cries out to heaven for vengeance, especially when it involves preying upon the young or the vulnerable. Such wickedness should be hated with a perfect hatred. Christian charity itself demands that we should hate wickedness just as we love goodness. But while hating the sin, we must never hate the sinner, who is called to conversion, penance, and renewed communion with Christ and His Church, through His inexhaustible mercy.

At the same time, however, the love and mercy which we are called to have even for the worst of sinners does not exclude holding them accountable for their actions through a punishment proportionate to the gravity of their offense. In fact, a just punishment is an important work of love and mercy, because, while it serves primarily as retribution for the offense committed, it also offers the guilty party an opportunity to make expiation for his sin in this life (if he willingly accepts his punishment), thus sparing him worse punishment in the life to come. Motivated, therefore, by love and concern for souls, I stand with those calling for justice to be done upon the guilty.

The sins and crimes of McCarrick, and of far too many others in the Church, bring suspicion and mistrust upon many good and virtuous priests, bishops, and cardinals, and suspicion and mistrust upon many great and respectable seminaries and so many holy and faithful seminarians. The result of the first instance of mistrust harms the Church and the very good work we do in Christ’s name. It causes others to sin in their thoughts, words, and deeds – which is the very definition of scandal. And the second mistrust harms the future of the Church, since our future priests are at stake.

I said that I was tempted to despair in light of all of this. However, that temptation quickly passed, thanks be to God. No matter how large the problem, we know that we are called to go forward in faith, to rely upon God’s promises to us, and to work hard to make every bit of difference we can, within our spheres of influence.

I have recently had the opportunity to talk directly with our seminarians about these very pressing matters, and I have begun to, and will continue to, talk with the priests of the diocese, as well as the faithful, in person and through my weekly column and homilies, making things as clear as I can, from my perspective. Here now, I offer a few thoughts to those of my diocese:
In the first place, we must continue to build upon the good work which we have accomplished in protecting the youth and vulnerable of our diocese. This is a work on which we can never rest in our vigilance, nor our efforts to improve. We must continue in our work of education for all and hold to the effective policies that have been implemented, requiring psychological exams for all candidates for ministry, as well as across-the-board background checks for anyone working with children or vulnerable individuals.

Here again, I state, as we have done consistently, if you have knowledge of any sort of criminal abuse of children by someone in the Church, contact law enforcement. If you need help in contacting law enforcement contact our Victim’s Assistance Coordinator and she will help connect you with the best resources. If you are an adult victim of sexual abuse from childhood, we still encourage you to reach out to law enforcement first, but even if you don’t want to, please still reach out to us.

To our seminarians: If you are unchastely propositioned, abused, or threatened (no matter by whom), or if you directly witness unchaste behavior, report it to me and to the seminary rector. I will address it swiftly and vigorously. I will not stand for this in my diocese or anywhere I send men for formation. I trust that the seminaries I choose, very discriminately, to help form our men will not ignore this type of scandalous behavior, and I will continue to verify that expectation.

To our priests: Most simply, live out the promises you made on your ordination day. You are called to serve Christ’s people, beginning with praying daily the Liturgy of the Hours. This is to keep you very close to God. In addition, you promised to obey and be loyal to your bishop. In obedience, strive to live out your priesthood as a holy priest, a hard working priest, and a pure and happy priest – as Christ Himself is calling you to do. And by extension, live a chaste and celibate life so that you can completely give your life to Christ, the Church, and the people whom he has called you to serve. God will give you the graces to do so. Ask Him for the help you need daily and throughout every day. And if you are unchastely propositioned, abused, or threatened (no matter by whom), or if you directly witness unchaste behavior, report it to me. I will not stand for this in my diocese any more than in our seminaries.

To the faithful of the diocese: If you are the victim of abuse of any kind by a priest, bishop, cardinal, or any employee of the Church, bring it forward. It will be addressed quickly and justly. If you have directly witnessed sexual advances or any type of abuse, bring it forward as well. Such actions are sinful and scandalous and we cannot allow anyone to use their position or power to abuse another person. Again, in addition to injuring individuals, these actions injure the very Body of Christ, His Church.

Furthermore, I add my name to those calling for real and sustained reform in the episcopate, priesthood, our parishes, schools, universities, and seminaries that would root out and hold accountable any would-be sexual predator or accomplice;

I will hold the priests of the diocese to their promise to live a chaste and celibate life of service to you and your parish, and evidence of failure in this regard will be justly addressed;

I will likewise hold every man studying for the priesthood for our diocese accountable to living a chaste and celibate life as part of his formation for the priesthood. Failure to do so will lead to dismissal from diocesan sponsorship;

I will continue to require (with our men and our funds) that all seminaries to which we send men to study be vigilant that seminarians are protected from sexual predators and provide an atmosphere conducive to their holistic formation as holy priests, in the image of Christ;

I ask all the faithful of the diocese to assist in keeping us accountable to civil authorities, the faithful in the pews, and to God Almighty, not only to protect children and the youth from sexual predators in the Church, but our seminarians, university students, and all the faithful as well. I promise to put any victim and their sufferings before that of the personal and professional reputation of a priest, or any Church employee, guilty of abuse;

I ask everyone reading this to pray. Pray earnestly for the Church and all her ministers. Pray for our seminarians. And pray for yourselves and your families. We must all work daily on our own personal holiness and hold ourselves accountable first and, in turn, hold our brothers and sisters accountable as well, and

Finally, I ask you all to join me and the entire clergy of the Diocese of Madison in making public and private acts of reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for all the sins of sexual depravity committed by members of the clergy and episcopacy. I will be offering a public Mass of reparation on Friday, September 14, the Feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross, at Holy Name Heights and I ask all pastors to do the same in their own parishes. In addition, I ask that all priests, clergy, religious, and diocesan employees join me in observing the upcoming Autumn Ember Days (Sep. 19, 21, and 22) as days of fasting and abstinence in reparation for the sins and outrages committed by members of the clergy and episcopacy and I invite all the faithful to do the same. Some sins, like some demons, can only be driven out by prayer and fasting.

This letter and these statements and promises are not intended to be an exhaustive list of what we can and need to do in the Church to begin to heal from, and stave off, this deep illness in the Church, but rather the next steps I believe we can take locally.

More than anything else, we as a Church must cease our acceptance of sin and evil. We must cast out sin from our own lives and run toward holiness. We must refuse to be silent in the face of sin and evil in our families and communities and we must demand from our pastors – myself included – that they themselves are striving day in and day out for holiness. We must do this always with loving respect for individuals but with a clear understanding that true love can never exist without truth.

Again, right now there is a lot of justified anger and passion coming from many holy and faithful lay people and clerics across the country, calling for real reform and “house cleaning” of this type of depravity. I stand with them. I don’t know yet how this will play out nationally or internationally. But I do know this, and I make this my last point and last promise, for the Diocese of Madison: “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

The problem IS Homosexuality

Speaking on The World Over with Raymond Arroyo, Cardinal Burke was clear that the root of the problem is homosexuality.

Not every homosexual is a molester or a predator or an abuser, but every boy abused, and these are 90% of all victims, was abused by a homosexual.

Every single one needs to be outed and removed from the priesthood. Every priest, bishop or cardinal, -- or even pope!

The Church of Christ Catholic has been infiltrated by malefactors. The men who did this did not do it out of a simple "fall from grace." Reading the Pennsylvania Grand Jury report reveals that it was much more, it was Satanic and demonic, Much of it was ritualistic, blaspheming God, committing sacrilege with the Most Blessed Sacrament and using Holy Water to "wash" out a boys mouth after forcing him to perform fellatio. 

This is the stuff of a Black Mass.

Friends, do not abandon our Mother, the Church. Early typing manuals included the phrase, "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party." Our Lord expects us to do our part, to do battle, to clean the stables. Do not let Him down.

Richard Sipe, may he Rest in Peace - Affirms that Bergoglio`s San Diego Bishop Robert McElroy knew about the pervert predator Theodore McCarrick

Richard Sipe has passed away. The therapist and one-time priest wrote about the homosexual predator Theodore McCarrick years ago. 

May he rest in peace.

Recently, he published a letter which he sent to Robert W. McElroy, Bishop of San Diego. McElroy is one of Bergoglio's leftists, Marxist, homosexualist bishops along with Cupich, Farrell and Tobin.

We must conclude that these Christ-hating prelates, these treasonous priests are not priests of Jesus Christ but of Satan. 

McElroy knew they all knew.

Bergoglio wears this. He did this. The Church is in crisis, a crisis brought about by the infiltration of homosexuals.

Out them all.

Bishop McElroy:
I received your note postmarked July 19.
I
It was clear to me during our last meeting in your office, although cordial,
that you had no interest in any further personal contact. It was only after
that I sent you a letter copied to my contacts in DC and Rome.
The new Nuncio, Archbishop Pierre, told my colleague he is interested in
the care of and reaction to victims of clergy assault: and I am assured that
the Papal Commission for the Prevention of Abuse is also dedicated to this
aspect of the crisis.
I will as I was asked, put my observations in the form of a report. Your
office made it clear that you have no time in your schedule either now or “in
the foreseeable future” to have the meeting that they suggested.
Bishop, I have been at the study and research of the problem of clergy
abuse since 1960. In 1986 I wrote to Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk,
president of the USCCB at the time, with my preliminary conclusions. His
response was negligible, although he passed the substance onto the
USCCB office who gave my figures to a NEWSWEEK reporter.
In 1990 before my study A Secret World; Sexuality and the Search for
Celibacy was published I agreed to meet with the entire staff at their DC
offices.
Institutional resistance is understandable, if surprising to me. So much of
my work has been validated and in many quarters now taken for granted.

The number of priests and bishops having sex with minors was not the
primary or central focus of the study. But my calculation of 6% (six percent)
clergy abusers as a base line has held up very well. [ the most recent
validation is between 6 ½ and 9% in the U.S. Some dioceses have
registered 23%. Some religious houses have recorded 25%.]
Sexual violation within the RC clergy is systemic. I say that on the basis of
observation and scientific conclusion. And I say that with empathy and
concern.
Now that aspect of the sexual crisis is well known around the world. The
crisis behind the scandal will be the next phase of reality with which to
come to terms: Namely: the broad range and frequency of sexual behaviors
registered in the clerical system. “At any one time no more than 50% of
priests are practicing celibacy.”
That was the hypothesis and thrust of A Secret World (1990) and repeated
in Celibacy in Crisis (2003)
In May 1993 at the Vatican International Conference on Celibacy in Rome
Cardinal Jose Sanchez then Chairman of the Dicastery on Clergy fielded
questions about my study and conclusions and a similar sociological
statistical report by Fr. Victor Kotze of South Africa. Father Kotze concluded
that in any three-year period only 45% of priests were practicing celibacy.
When asked directly by reporter Mark Dowd, and a reporter recording for
the BBC TV what the Cardinal thought of those studies he said, “I have no
reason to doubt the accuracy of those figures”.

During the first National Survivors Conference in Chicago, October 1992, I
addressed the group with these words: “The crisis we are facing today—
sexual abuse of minors by Catholic clergy—is the tip of an iceberg. And if
we follow it to its foundations it will lead to the highest corridors of the
Vatican.”

Sooner or later it will become broadly obvious that there is a systemic
connection between the sexual activity by, among and between clerics in
positions of authority and control, and the abuse of children.
When men in authority—cardinals, bishops, rectors, abbots, confessors,
professors—are having or have had an unacknowledged-secret-active-sexlife
under the guise of celibacy an atmosphere of tolerance of behaviors
within the system is made operative.
Many of the sexual patterns are set up during seminary years or in early
years after ordination when sexual experimentation is initiated or sustained.
The 2009 Vatican Report (in English) on American seminaries invented a
new term—transitional homosexuality. I believe this is due to the
awareness of the frequent activity in the homosocial structure of seminary
and religious life.
I was on the staff of three major seminaries, one Pontifical, from 1967 to
1984. I served as a consultant for seminaries from 1966 to 1996. That gave
me a broad contact with several other seminaries, their Rectors and staffs.
I was aware, from information shared by their partners, that a number of
rectors (at least three) and also some staff members, were having periodic
sex with students.
At one seminary fully one-fourth of the professors had ongoing sexual
contacts with men or women in more or less consensual arrangements.
It is credibly established that thirty percent (30%) of U.S. bishops have a
homosexual orientation. This is not a condemnation nor an allegation of
malfeasance. The list of homosexual Popes and saints is long and
illustrious. [This is obviously false.  Homosexuality, even the inclination, is diametrically opposed to sanctity in every sense. -AB]
A serious conflict arises when bishops who have had or are having sexually
active lives with men or women defend their behavior with denial, cover up,
and public pronouncements against those same behaviors in others.
Their own behavior threatens scandal of exposure when they try to curtail
or discipline other clerics about their behavior even when it is criminal as in
the case with rape and abuse of minors, rape, or power plays against the

vulnerable. (Archbishops Harry Flynn, Eugene Marino, Robert Sanchez,
Manuel Moreno, Francis Green, etc.)
III
I will record instances that demonstrate the systemic dynamic that forms
and fosters sexual violations among the clerical culture. All of this
information is culled from records (civil or church). In addition, I have 50
years’ participation or contact with the clerical culture of the RCC.
I have reviewed several hundred thousands of pages of records of clerical
sexual activity and been involved as a consultant or expert witness in 250
civil legal actions against clergy offenders.
None of the following information is secret. It is reviewed here in an effort to
demonstrate how the sexual system works in the clerical culture.
Archbishop John Neinstedt (1947—) I reviewed the 138-page report of
the Ramsay County MN Attorney’s report on the sexual activity of
Neinstedt.
I have interviewed priests from the Detroit Archdiocese who had personal
contact there with Neinstedt and had first-hand knowledge of his presence
at gay bars. The affidavits in the report speak for themselves.
Bishop Thomas Lyons (1923-88) priest of Baltimore and auxiliary bishop
of Washington, D.C. I have personally interviewed adult men who claim that
they were sexually abused by Lyons when he was a priest in Baltimore and
a monsignor and pastor in D.C.
One of the reporters was on probation for abusing minor members of his
own family. He claimed that Lyons abused him from the time he was seven
to seventeen years old. Also Lyons himself said that this happened to him
(by a priest) when he was growing up and that “it was natural.”
One important element in this behavior is the three generational pattern of
sexual abuse of minors involved: Priest abuser of child who becomes a
priest and child abuser. Behavior is justified as natural. This is a pattern
seen often and termed the genealogy of clerical sexual abuse.

Bishop Raymond J. Boland (1932-2014) was a priest and pastor also in
Washington, D.C. until 1988 when he was appointed bishop of Birmingham
AL, and subsequently, in1993 bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph.
I was involved for several years in advocating for several victims that
Boland violated when he was a pastor. The accounts of the victims are
among the most horrendous from the point of view that exemplifies how
deeply sex even with minors is integrated within the clerical culture.
Cardinal James Hickey and bishop William Lori fought with particular fury
the allegations that ended in the suspension of several priests and a
financial settlement with some victims.
The victim quoted here from his report to the Archdiocese refused the
settlement offered by the Archdiocese. The whole process from 1994 to
2004 spanned the reigns of Hickey, Mc Carrick and Wuerl.
Fr. Frank Swift (+1974) and Fr. Aldo PetrinI (+late 1980s) were named as
abusers.
Msgr. Paul Lavin was named as an abuser of several minor victims and
was finally removed from the ministry by Cardinal McCarrick in 2002.
These D.C. priests formed a coterie of sexually active clerics from the
seminary to connections with officials in Vatican offices.
Some of the victims were assaulted together. Two victims refused financial
settlements. Others were constricted by confidentiality clauses.
This tangle of clerical sexual abusers demonstrates the operation that
infests the systemic operation of sexual activity from top to bottom.
Many more facts about this group are on record.
Following are quotes from the reports in files submitted to the offices of the
D.C. Archbishops and their lawyers:
A 10-year-old boy at Mount Calvary Catholic Church in Forestville, MD in
1967 was sodomized by Fr. Raymond J. Boland and then deacon Paul
Levin.

The boy asked Boland why they were doing this and he responded, “God
makes special boys and girls for pleasure, and you are certainly one of
them.” When he saw the erect penises of his abusers he was told, “See
what you have done”.
They said they were going to make him a “big boy” and show him how
much God loved him. And breathlessly told him that it was, “the ultimate
sign of love when a man ‘came’ with a special boy; that gave him, “the seed
of life”.
Lavin said, “when I was 12-years-old that I would be taken on retreats were
spiritual bonding between older men and younger boys took place.”
They assured him the pain would go away, gave warnings to keep secret
and delivered threats of dire consequences if he told anyone. (He did tell
his mother who slapped him and told him never to talk that way about a
priest or nun.)
He made a first suicide attempt with aspirin.
Three weeks after the assault by Boland this boy contacted a priest in his
home parish—Fr. Perkinson. (who was ultimately a patient at St. Luke’s
Institute Suitland, MD.)
When he told the priest his name Fr. Perkinson said, “Oh, you’re the
special little boy Fr. Boland told me about.” He said he had been in the
military and “sex between two guys was normal”.
The priest then proceeded to expose his penis and forced it into the boy’s
mouth. “He told me to lick it like a popsicle and swallow the precious gift he
was going to give me.” He added later how special a boy I was and
encouraged me to swallow the semen that was “the seed of Christ and the
source of all life-—and a sin” to refuse. “God loves you and so do I.”
[This victim spent several years in the major seminary where he
experienced and recorded the sexual connections between seminary,
parish priests, chancery and Rome. The string of abusers was reported to
Cardinal Hickey. Some were retired or left the area.]

While this assault was in progress the pastor opened the door, simply
looked and closed it. (this behavior by other priests is reported in other
instances—e.g. Gaboury, litigated in Fall River, MA; in a case litigated in
D.C. the pastor seeing the boy bound and being sodomized simply said,
“you will have to repair that wall”. (The victim had punched a hole in the
wall while bound and thrashing around.)
Boland’s victim made a second suicidal attempt and was treated in a
hospital.
This is by no means the most horrendous of the records I have reviewed,
but its elements of seduction, assault, sexualizing spirituality, and selfjustification
under a “celibate” mantle and cover up are paradigmatic of a
system of behaviors in the Catholic clerical culture.
The record of one priest abuser relates how he anointed the foreheads of
his boy victims with his semen.
Another priest who was having sex with a13-yer-old of girl touched her
genitals with what he said was a consecrated host to show her “how much
God loves you”.
The credibility of the documents is unquestionable and recorded in church
and legal documents. The reporter in Boland’s case is a respected
professor.
Cardinal Theodore McCarrick has been reported by numerous
seminarians and priests of sexual advances and activity. A settlement with
one priest was effected by Stephen Rubino, Esq.
In that record the operation of McCarrick in sexual activity with three priests
is described. Correspondence from “Uncle Ted” as he asked to be called, is
included. One of the principals is now a lawyer who left the priesthood, two
men remain in the priesthood, but refuse to speak publicly despite the fact
that the settlement document is open. One priest was told by the chancery
office, “if you speak with the press we will crush you”.
Priests or seminarians who speak up about a sexually active superior are
threatened with the loss of everything—employment, status, etc. Those

who report are greeted with disbelief or even derision if they know but were
not personally involved. If they were a partner in the sexual activity and
“come out” they become a pariah and labeled a traitor.
I have interviewed twelve seminarians and priests who attest to
propositions, harassment, or sex with McCarrick, who has stated, “I do not
like to sleep alone”.
One priest incardinated in McCarrick’s Archdiocese of Newark was taken to
bed for sex and was told, “this is how priests do it in the U.S.”. None so far
has found the ability to speak openly at the risk of reputation and
retaliation.
The system protects its impenetrability with intimidation, secrecy and
threat. Clergy and laity are complicit.
Abbot John Eidenschink, O.S.B. (1914-2004) I knew John Eidenschink
from the time I was a student in Prep school (1946) until the time of his
death. He served me as a theology professor, confessor for six years,
superior, and traveling companion in Europe (summer 1956), and principal
speaker at my first mass in 1959. I served with him as an assistant master
of ceremonies.
It was only in 1970 that monks and former monks came forward to tell me
about how Fr. John, under the guise of offering instructions how to make
them more comfortable with their body, and that during spiritual guidance,
had them stretch out nude on his bed while he touched them; he
penetrated some.
At least two of these men sought legal advice and received substantial
financial settlements from the abbey. At least five men reported this
behavior. Others who remained in the monastery did not publicize their
encounters.
I have heard this manner and mode of relationship described in other
religious houses and seminaries.
Like many other members of dioceses and religious communities I was
blind to these and other sexual activities among the group. This is not an
excuse. Lack of vigilance, adequate sexual education and simple ignorance

contributed to the blindness instilled by institutional absorption and
dependency.
On record maintained by a former victim of the system recorded sixty
members of the St. John’s community who were sexual violators and 260
“known victims”. (Patrick Marker [Behindthepinecurtin.com])
John Eidenschink was a prominent and productive member of the
community. He influenced every segment of this large institution. His
sexual conditioning was formed and fostered in the two years of his
novitiate under the tutelage of Fr. Basil Stegmann, O.S.B. who repeatedly
took novice John on his lap while instructing him.
John was an orphan and lived with relatives near the campus of the abbey.
His sexual identity and his remarkable talents were conditioned and
fostered by the total institution. The homosocial structure of the abbey and
schools influenced his adjustment.
The homoerotic component in Roman Catholic theology and in the social
construct of training and in the power associations fosters sexual
expression as “natural” in ordinary male relationships. This is in direct
contradiction to the official teaching that homosexuality is “unnatural” and
“intrinsically disordered”.
I observed similar constructs in Vatican contacts with confreres when I was
a student in Rome. I could only register facts that I could not put together at
the time.
Students with some ambition would make contact with secretaries of
various Vatican officials, usually a Monsignore. This could assure them an
invitation to “tea” or some reception. Those who made the cut had social
access to a certain group of minor officials with prospects of wider and
more exalted contacts. (The book I Millinari written by 5 Vatican officials
also records variations on this pattern.)
Sexual liaisons become common for men conditioned to homosexually in
the system when women become available for social contact usually after
ordination. The Vatican term “transitional homosexuality” (2009) I
believe is based on the observation that a portion of priests pass through a

phase of sexual bonding with men (or even boys) before setting into
heterosexual behaviors.
Bishop Robert H. Brom: I have talked with the man who made allegations
of misconduct against Brom and with whom he made a $120,000
settlement. The history is well recorded by several responsible reporters.

Significant here is the operation of the National Conference of Bishops who
in their 2002 Dallas Charter made provision for “zero tolerance” of clergy
abusing minors but neglected to address violations by bishops. Instead
they appointed Brom, when allegations were known, to make “Fraternal
Correction” to other bishops accused.
This type of operation is typical of the pattern of cover up from the top of
the institution. (Reflected in the destruction of documents by the Papal
Nuncio in the Neinstedt case. Cf. Documentation provided by the Ramsey

Cardinal Roger Mahony. I have served as an expert witness in a sufficient
number of abuse cases in the LA Archdiocese to conclude it is not
outlandish to ask if Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles is a criminal for
“knowingly endangering the children he was supposed to defend.”
There is ample evidence already in the public forum that Mahony has
known of priests who abused minors, reassigned them and allowed them to
minister only to abuse other minors. He has not informed parishioners or
even parish staffs, that the priests he was assigning had a record of abuse.
Mahony who has a Masters in Social Work did not report known priest
abusers to social services even though he was obligated to do so by civil
law and by reason of the profession’s Code of Ethics. All of this vast
evidence is recorded in countless depositions on record from litigations1 of
abuse cases and from Mahony’s own testimony under oath.2

I received reports from two men about Mahony’s sexual life and orientation;
one a former (St. John, Camarillo) seminarian who was dying of HIV
related complications; the other a long time LA church employee. The men
were credible reporters unwilling to go public or draw on corroboration.
I have served as an expert on a number of cases of confirmed sexual
abuse by priests of the LA Archdiocese from 2002 onward. Several are
remarkable: (i.e. the case of Lopez y Lopez and the controversy between
Mahony and the Cardinal of Mexico City. One of the principals in the latter
had to be lying.)
Judge Jim Byrne touted by the cardinal as a poster boy for the integrity of
the sexual abuse review board said in deposition that in all the years he
served on the Board he “never thought” of helping the victims.
Lawyer, Larry Drivon, who has litigated many California cases of clergy
abuse stated that there was sufficient evidence to charge Mahony with
perjury after letters he signed when he was bishop of Stockton, were
produced in his 2004 deposition and showed—black on white—that he had
clear knowledge of events that he denied under oath in deposition and on
the witness stand in the 1998 trial of Fr. Oliver O’Grady.3
I attended the Nov. 2004 deposition of Mahony and know the history of the
O’Grady trial. I saw Mahony’s signed letters. As a layperson I witnessed the
cardinal lying. His lawyer claimed, as did the cardinal that “he forgot.” (in 2
depositions and on the witness stand)
Three Los Angeles Grand Juries have been impaneled over nine years to
determine the real picture of abusing priests in the Archdiocese of Los
Angeles. Their problem is not the lack of evidence, but the monumental
legal impediments and roadblocks the cardinal has sponsored to obstruct
the investigation and the release of documents needed to pinpoint facts of
the cardinal’s knowledge and involvement in complicity and obstruction.
California law does not allow Grand Jury reports to be made public unless
indictments result.

Mahony claimed that communications between him and his priests have a
special privilege, not unlike that of confessional secrets. His claim was
included as the central argument advanced by his attorneys for refusing to
disclose files ordered by the courts. His arguments were rejected by the
appeal court, the California Supreme Court. Not deterred he had his
lawyers even try to have the case reversed by the United States Supreme
Court. The highest court in the land could not swallow his theory. His
obstructionism seems unbounded.
He claimed that he was a member of the therapeutic team treating priest
abusers and therefore documents involving him enjoyed a privilege of
medical confidentiality. In actuality he was never a member of any
therapeutic teams for several reasons not the least of which is the fact that
he is not qualified.
It has not yet been revealed how many millions the cardinal spent in
pursuing facetious claims. He has employed for his defense not merely
several lawyers but several law firms as well as Sitrick and Company, a
public relation firm used by Enron, the Tobacco industry and the Keating
Savings and Loan scandal of the 1980’s. Fortune magazine called the
company’s founder “one of the most accomplished practitioners of the
dark arts of public relations. The Financial Times called him, “The spin
doctor’s spin doctor.” Should any Catholic entity much less an
archdiocese take any pride in resorting to the services of such an
organization? Truth and transparency seem secondary if important at all.
These and myriad other stories are to be told from documents and records.
These records show Mahony’s, and other bishops pattern and practice that
reflect institutional defenses of its ministers’ sexual behaviors.
I will not belabor the more than 250 abuse cases of clergy abuse I have
served on as an expert witness or consultant.
I served the Attorney General of Massachusetts in the formation of their
Grand Jury investigation of clergy abuse in that State (2002). And I was an
expert witness to the first of three Grand Juries empaneled in Philadelphia
and I reviewed 135 clergy abuse files then. Since that time I have been
able to follow the working and operation of the Archdiocesan offices’

dealing with victims of clergy abuse. That is a paradigm of the malfunction
of the American church in response to clergy.
You are well aware that your diocese has settled with many victims (144 in
2007 alone).
I have tried to help the Church understand and heal the wounds of sexual
abuse by clergy. My services have not been welcomed.
My appeal to you has been for pastoral attention to victims of abuse and
the long term consequences of that violation. This includes the effects of
suicidal attempts.
Only a bishop can minister to these wounds.
Enclosed you will find a list of bishops who have been found wanting in
their duties to the people of God.
